What does that even mean? Well, if you watched the awards this year, you know exactly what that means- flawless, radiant, and seemingly naturally glowing complexion is seen on celebrities. So the million-dollar question is, how do you achieve such skin? Well, definitely not overnight, and not even in a week. And, Demi, we wish it was just more water and almonds 😉 . Usually, this kind of look requires high-quality skincare, cosmetic procedures, and professional makeup- and good lighting doesn’t hurt! And wallah- an appearance of youthful, clear, healthy skin ✨.

Let’s begin with a take-home point:

No one is achieving this “last minute.” You need consistency and a plan in advance of an event to accomplish this. Doing something once or once in a while is not going to get us actual great-looking skin.

You need a consistent, solid skincare regimen of products to hydrate and protect your skin year-round. That means a twice-daily ROUTINE. It means all the basics are assumed- you are washing your face before bed and applying a creamy moisturizer.  Anti-aging products you intend to use faithfully often also go on at night, whether that be a retinol, glycolic, or collagen serum. In the morning, your sunscreen will protect against UV damage, but your creamy moisturizer will protect against cold and wind damage ️🌨️ .

No one at the Golden Globes appeared to have any sun spotsENTER Fraxel. We love Fraxel laser for those brown spots, to even and clear out the complexion, but also to rejuvenate and give a glow. Face, decollete, even hands love Fraxel 🙌 . Depending on someone’s level of spots or sun damage, they might need more than one treatment spaced a month apart, so again means planning ahead.

Microneedling with radiofrequency, as we do with Vivace, is what will help to build some collagen and tighten up the skin. Typically, a series of three treatments once per month is best, and no downtime with that one ❣️ .

Now, you can’t have Golden Globe skin with too many wrinkles, so Botox or Dysport to the rescue! Those would be about a month before the main event to be in peak form. And fillers accomplish treating hollow under-eyes to not look tired, and smooth full cheeks and lips, which can be done quite tastefully. Some just like them maxed out 🙂

Those defined jawlines and beautiful necks have been treated with Sofwave and similar ultrasound-based therapies a few months in advance and will usually last a year. No downtime there either 🫲 !

And finally, let’s not forget the consistent 💧 Hydrafacials  with dermaplaning. That makeup has to glide on flawlessly on a smooth and hydrated canvas! Many celebrities use red-light to calm their skin before a major event. It can help, but it doesn’t last, so it’s good for special times.

It can be done, but it needs prep time and dedication! 💪
